Hey Baby! What’s Your Sign??

Since I just posted about seeing the moon, why not post this post about ….

I used to be a HUGE fan of horoscopes! Everything you needed to know, you could have asked me…..

I was like….. a horoscope guru haha

Keyword: Was

Now I kind of just live life normal hehe

I still believe in some parts like characteristics are true per each sign, but I don’t follow it like I used to

I had Yahoo horoscope sent to me all the time and I checked love, friendship and finance all the time

For a while I had the horoscope app on my phone.

I told you I was serious about it!

Don’t judge me!

I KNOOOOWWWW I’m not the only one!  Continue reading

That Time I…..

Saw the moon way too close!

I was in Wal-Mart in Iowa about 4 yrs ago wit my ex and when we came out….

Immediately frightened!!

The MOON was Waaayyyyy too huge for me to feel protected.

I thought the world was over.

I am sure I even checked fb and google to be sure….

Why was the MOON so damn big!!???

I’ve never seen it soooooo close to where it felt like I could touch it.

I closed my eyes and then opened them slowly, trying to appreciate the beauty.  Continue reading

Damn! It’s Just A Co-Worker!

When is it never acceptable to talk to co workers??!!

Oooooo I love a good rant and I think I am overdue for one!

Ladies and Gentleman,

Why is it that people always feel a type of way about having co-workers as friends?

It becomes either a stereotype or some male’s way of thinking because they are insecure.

I been dating bae for 2 and a half years and we had many disagreements about being friends with co-workers.

Just because he is anti-social, does that mean I have to be???

Who died and made him GOD?

Sorry, No one.

And I ask him this all the time especially in arguments.

Because no one has the right to tell someone to do something and expect it to get done cuz they like things a certain way.

I think it’s not a big deal to be cordial with co-workers.

Hell! Sometimes you can make best friends out of co-workers!!!

Ugh Life Sucks Without Cable!

Have u ever had the struggle?!

Where things clash at once and you have to pick yourself back up?

Like light bill got cut off or in my case

I’m not gonna lie we are behind on payments and lord let me tell u

For TWO WEEKS I had no cable!
I watch so many show that I NEED it!

I could barely use my laptop how I want cuz with no cable means no Wifi soooo I was using my mobile hotspot

And to use it on the laptop I have to plug my phone up because it isn’t working wirelessly!

Soooooo annoying!!!!

Here’s how my week went:

I slept allllll week the 1st week mostly and binged Family Guy on Netflix

Then the following week when that was over, I watched this corny cartoon called Big Mouth just to have something to do.

I also seen 2 movies.

I have most TV apps on my phone so when shows were on when I remembered, I seen them on my phone.

When hubby was at work was be sooooo bored!!

Television really hypnotizes people….

We moved from one borough to the next last week and FINALLY after 24 hours we got cable!!

I was in the crib like

Buuutttt unfortunately changing the settings on the cable made the TV go into standby!

We had optimum, but switched to RCN (Residential Communications Network) because it was cheaper. It has Tivo…remember Tivo??! I guess it is too powerful for the TV.

what meme.jpg

Anyways sooooo once again I went a while without cable!

Whhhyyyy does God hate me!? Lol

But I watch my shows on the apps.

And I binge Orange is the New Black and I am already on Season 2. Pretty crazy so far.

When cable comes back on, I am going to be more cautious with the settings and everything so it won’t happen again.

RCN’s technician is HERE and then cable will be back hopefully they can fix it!

Or we need a new TV……

Cheers! Cheers!

Anyone else ever feel my pain? (lol)

Hunter has a new home!

It has been such a hard decision for a couple months….

We made sure he was nursed to health several times as he always comes back with something from an office visit.

For the past year he has been marking territory in our home, peeing everywhere….

We walk him outside for 30 mins, 3 times a day.

And that still wasn’t enough because he still peed in our home.

For a while I kept saying he has a bladder problem.

But I also felt like it was a training issue.

My boyfriend is the one who knows how to train dogs better than I do so I feel like maybe he failed in the potty training department.

Hunter never liked pads.

He chewed up the pads every time we put it down.

Absolutely a dog thing! And when we tell him to stop, he just did the most ignorant disrespectful thing a dog can do — he waits until we turn our back to continue doing it!

So we got rid of the pads and took him outside. It still wasn’t enough. It was hard for me to take him out too when I was pregnant. I was tired after work but still made an effort. Ugh!

It wasn’t until about July when we tried to train him by pads again and it took him a while to understand it.

He STILL chewed it up and this time LAID on it too!! Like come on dog!

He had frequent doctor visits I paid for which we found out he has a urine problem….

crystals in his urine that could lead to kidney stones if untreated….

We gave him the food he needs to heal for a month.

But no chance to take him back as we were behind on bills and working to catch up to pay them ….

Me especially – being pregnant and all.

But keep in mind because he was disrespectful and sick, he was becoming a little too high maintenance for us…..

He had a constant need for doctor visits we couldn’t afford in the moment

especially when my baby was born and we really were behind on bills like this expensive NY rent, my bf car notes, and utilities

PLUS his constant need to PEE!

It was like he needed to pee every hour.

We live in a 3 story walk-up apartment (meaning no elevator, only stairs)

None of us were going up and down that much. I barely wanted to do it once!

I have asthma and them steps are exhausting, especially when expecting…..

So because he disrespected us as owners by doing what he wanted behind our back and even outside he is friendly to everyone, we decided the best decision was to find him a home where he can pee in a backyard.

Or get retrained by someone he will listen to because it wasn’t US!

We made the decision to get rid of him in August, I had a friend via Fb who said she wanted him but then she ghosted me when it was time to pick him up.

She is no longer a friend because she just wasn’t real. I even contacted her to see if she was still coming to get him and she ignored my post but makes her own fb posts.

Anyways, Hunter also stayed because I was wondering how I would feel if he left.

And he stayed because I was too busy mourning more than thinking about getting rid of him….

When my daughter was taken from me by God, I had a new outlook on life….

I look at everything different.

I appreciate certain things and accept the things I can.

With that being said, I knew in my heart we still wanted Hunter to have a better home because once we make decisions we like to stick with them.

Plus, he still was having those Chihuahua behaviors that we could no longer stand.

So here we are in October.

It was the 1st week of October when babe said to me that he wanted Hunter gone by the end of the week.

It was due to his obnoxious behavior….

We needed one less thing stressing us out, especially after my baby came out early and the end result….

Soooooooo I did what I had to do! I thought about the best person to ask and it was a high school friend who owns her own shop in Manhattan called Pawsitive Woofs. She loves dogs and I had a hunch that she knew someone if not herself who can take Hunter out of our hands.

That was a good instinct because she absolutely had a friend that wanted a small dog and after she asked her friend, it was set up!

It has been a month now since he has been gone! Wow.

Remember when I told you he is friendly with strangers?

Well he went straight to my friend!! Tail wagging and all.

I didn’t charge them to take him away. Just as long as he has a good home we were fine with no money.

But damn! At least be sad Hunter! (Lol)

He was more happy than anything, but I feel like once he got in the car he probably was crying for us.

I felt the difference in my home immediately. The 1st week was a little weird….

Hailey was quiet. And normally she makes noise when you enter, she is just quiet then too. I guess when Hunter was in the home she felt like she needed to own her territory.

She also loved Hunter! She would want to play with him all the time.

Hunter was scared of her though! Scared of a puppy……

He would literally run from her.

His socialization with dogs needs improvement. I told my friend that before she picked him up too.

After the 1st week it just came a matter of moving on. My bf missed him a lot, always brought him up in convo.

It is still quiet without him, but I know he is better off.

It took some adjusting, but I don’t miss him as much as I thought. Maybe because I miss my baby more.

For now, it’s easier taking care of 1 dog. She’s not high maintenance in the sense of doctor visits, BUT she’s High maintenance as far as being SASSY!! Haha

If you read my recent post about Hailey, you should know that she is the opposite of what he was. She sits on her own, lay down on her own, she’s super playful with humans and dogs!

I recently taught her to lay on her bed so she don’t be cold at night.

We are training her to “stop” when she is being bad and to “sit” on our command.

She is just hard headed. At least she knows the pad.

She either hates outside or is still too young or spoiled for outside because when we tried to walk her, she wouldn’t budge! She is more of a house dog and for the moment, nothing wrong with that! As I said the steps are torture!

I want her to be more house trained over crate trained. But this isn’t a Hailey post! Stick around for future banters about her! In the future we will be getting a male yorkie.

We have great memories with Hunter, he was great while we had him. He was our central park buddy, our room share buddy and now he is safe in someone else’s home.

Movie Review: Everything Everything

This movie caught my attention when I went to the movie theater to see Wonder Woman and seen this trailer.

I’m a hopeless romantic so anything …well almost anything that looks adorable makes me want to check it out.

This story was very different so it attracted me.

The concept: I LOVE the imagination behind this story in which the main character Maddie is sick and cannot leave her house. She decides to be bold when she meets Olly and escape the house she has known for 17 years.

I won’t spoil the entire movie but I will say that every moment of the movie had me drawn in.

Like her cool architecture skill that created her own burger joint.

Oooo how about when they have sex? I totally knew that was coming! The chemistry was there!

Especially when she bought tickets to Hawaii and Olly went with her. It was their escape.

Her escape.

An escape I very much need too. But we will discuss that another lifetime.

I was thinking the entire time SHE’S NOT SICK!!!

No way does a person risk their life knowing they can die….

But that is everyone. We risk our lives almost every day.

I was totally thinking she was never sick, she can go outside.

What made up sickness is SCID (Severe Combined Immunodeficiency)

I was totally happy she found love in Olly. How dare she be locked up in her home forever not having any interaction with strangers simply because she was told she can’t.

I felt for her!

That disease must have sucked. Imagine not being able to leave the house?

When she got sick in Hawaii and later spoke to the same doctor that helped her in Hawaii, she realized she wasn’t sick!

I knew it! Her mother made that up to keep her safe after her brother and father died.

Maddie has been a product of her mother’s scheme to keep her protected so she doesn’t die like her sibling and father.

Apart of me was angry at the mother, but then I also can relate.

I was thrilled that while Olly and Maddie took a short lived break from each other because her mother thought he was causing her danger to her health; they met up in NY at the end in a ….. BOOKSTORE!

#TeamMaddie&Olly #Madolly? Lol

Maddie loved to read books.

Just like ME!

In the movie she said she don’t have any vices but I think reading is her vice.

During the movie, I wondered … IS this movie a book?

I googled it and the answer is OF COURSE! I sampled the book and so far it was matching the movie…

So you know what that means? 😉

Time to read the book!

I Don’t Uber Everywhere; I Catch a Lyft!!

I think this story is suitable for the ending of Friday and beginning of Saturday!

The club hours, where many people use cabs is the hours cab drivers make the most money

The party weekend is every weekend!

So as the caption says, I take Lyfts!

There was this one time I went shopping and had to carry a few big items such as pillows and wine glasses ALONE because bf was working and we needed the pillows. I also always buy more than I can carry sometimes but I’m working on it.

Anywho, I called an Uber to take me home. This was a couple months ago. Before I found out I was pregnant. (Yes definitely was pregnant carrying all these items and didn’t know it!

I was already hungry, tired and annoyed.

I called a cab expecting less hassle. I had just left Macy’s with all of this stuff.

This uber driver looked as if he was coming.

I even called him when I saw he was near. He answers the phone, says he’s coming and mumbled some shit and then hung up!

YOOOOO! ALL In my head I’m like he can’t be serious. I call back and it sends me to uber operative system.

Oohhh I’m pissed and confused now.

I watch on the gps and he finally reaches in front of me. I’m looking like helloooo I’m right here!

I call again and same uber line.

I emailed uber right away feuding and trying not to curse at them. My thumbs were fumbling over every curse word you can imagine, however;

I described my whole situation calmly.

Then I texted my bf (who’s an uber driver himself BUT never understands from a passenger’s point of view) and told him I’M DONE with Uber. Point. Blank. Period.

Explained to him what happened and how I’m mostly pissed because I was trying to avoid the train ride home but NOW I had to anyway because I was not in the mood for cabs anymore.

I was soooooo upset.

Once I got home that day, I uninstalled Uber and downloaded Lyft again.

Uber reimbursed my money. Thank God because I would have went up to their headquarters myself!

Time to try something new.

Lyft has been pretty good except the one time I was going to work and this stupid driver stops by this area with plants to ask if this was my destination!!!!

At this point I was 3 months pregnant, it’s hot outside, he’s annoying…

I asked him very snarky like, what does the gps sayy? Does it say this is MY destination?

Then I told him just pull over and let me out because he was being dumb.

He dropped me off and I had to walk 3 blocks to my job.

I was hormonal and hot which lead to me being angry!

I complained to lyft about him and got $5 off my next ride.

About a few times after I had some drivers that couldn’t find my destination so once again I walked.

I tell my bf these stories and he gets upset cuz I walked. What was I posed to do? Let the assholes take more time and money? NO. I’m not being late for a dumbass driver.

So one day I asked my bf for directions once you pass the parkway because that’s when people seemed to get lost

Ever since he told me I redirect drivers before they pull that stunt again.

My bf also takes me to work everyday now unless he can’t then I would take cabs but lately I’ve been taking the train.

Can’t deal with cabs.

I will cancel a 4.6 now because that shows they may not know directions

I get off work at 11pm right? And just the other day I had a driver cancel on me cuz he couldn’t find the place, 2nd driver I had to cancel for same reason….

I get a 4.8 the 3rd time and he made it in front of my building!!!

How ??

It took 15 mins for me to get in a cab due to the other 2!

Ughh I need a car!

I still use Lyft and have had no complaining to do……

Life in NYC —- always some interesting drama!

Do you have a cab story to share? Let me know!
