It’s Graduation Time!!! :)

The expensive fees. The cap and gown shopping. In college you pick the tassel for your major.

I remember when I was jealous because I wanted the purple, but instead I had white for LAS (Liberal Arts & Studies).

After the mandatory shopping, there’s also the attire shopping. What do you wear to the event?

How about the nerves you get walking down the stage….

Hearing speeches as you try not to cry. When your name is called you feel relief as if you won’t be doing it again in a couple of years….even after the bachelor’s.

The words for flipping your tassel to the other side.

A great sense of accomplishment.

It’s definitely graduating season and it takes me back to my own.

I had fun at every single one. I cried at my university graduation simply because I couldn’t believe I did it!!

To the college grads from May…..A HUGE congrats!

One thing I liked about my high school ceremony was that we did throw our hats up once it was over. We gave the parents a good laugh.

I’ve attended every single one without a problem. While graduation may be boring and long it was exciting just sitting there.

I attended a graduation today. It’s the 10 yr old aka the Project 10 girl!! πŸ™‚Β

Whew! I’m so excited for her. Congrats to her too! It feels like I graduated too since I helped her with homework! Sheesh! πŸ˜›

The graduation was very eventful for a 5th grade ceremony. I loved the performances and the speeches. They were very engaging and hilarious. I wish my ceremony was that beautiful.

I wish you were there to see it too because I almost can’t explain it haha.

Anyway she looked soooo gorgeous too like an angel! Her prom dress was even cuter. But that’s not my child so I can’t post pics. =P

Time escalates after every grad celebration. It never slows down!

I blinked and I had to figure out how to be an adult. Clearly I’m still learning.

The best ceremonies are with friends. My high school graduation was so much fun.

I missed most of the speeches because I was talking with my friend. There was a row of us just whispering….

When the president did his speech, we all went wild because he was a good friend and we felt like being rowdy kids lol

With this, I’ll say. Cherish the moment. Never forget it.

If you never attend, you haven’t missed much but it’s always the memory that counts.

Did you graduate? How did/will you celebrate? Which graduation was your best?

If someone you know is graduating, what will you be doing this weekend?

  1. Great post! Yup, I just graduated from college, and the ceremonies were enjoyable. πŸ™‚ It’s amazing how the four years flew by; I don’t feel like I’m done with school yet!

  2. Yes great post Ms.Shade! I agree with you, graduations can be boringly long but for some reason you’re not really bored at them; whether you’re the graduate or the supporter you always seems to be too packed with excitement to noticed the time. I remember all of my graduations, and they were great. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks! Yep exactly. Except being a supporter, sometimes you get sleepy lol. Good that you remember them all. Glad to hear they were great! πŸ™‚
